Rik Johnson is a life-long friend whom I've known since about the 3rd grade. He is an extremely talented, prolific musician and songwriter, and though our paths diverged and recrossed over the years, it's always been comforting to know he's out there making great music.

He shared this song about 10 years ago that I wanted to work with, but things happen and it got shuffled away in the flow of life events only to be rediscovered in a stack of sheet music in the corner over there about a month ago.

Still fresh from working on a new set of my own demos, I decided to take a crack at it to see what I could do with it. This is what I came up with. It doesn't hold a candle to the original (cutt.ly/KyVzTWu), but I hope you get the idea.
